UNISON Cambridgeshire County Branch has members working primarily with Cambridgeshire County Council (CCC) and we are classified as a Local Government Branch. However, there are also members of the Branch who work in services that have been previously separated from CCC (the local authority). These members work in the Probation Service, Fire and Rescue Service, Further Education and also within services provided by the Community and Voluntary Sector (CVS).

At the 2009 UNISON National Delegate Conference it was decided to give members in different sectors a stronger voice in the union. The Branch Committee is now undertaking a review of it's own structure to give members in the CVS greater control of their own decision making, representation and local bargaining arrangements.
