International Worker Resources:
Problems with your Employer?
Most problems that you will face will be employment rights related. These are issues which the Branch can support you with, they include the following:
1. Changes to your contract of employment, such as your shift pattern, reducing the number of hours worked, having to supply a car/driving.
2. If you are being bullied, victimised, receiving racist comments.
3. Treated unfairly, such as always getting the weekend or late shifts, being allocated the difficult clients, working long hours without being asked, having your shifts cancelled without notice.
4. Health and Safety, such as being asked lift clients without a hoist, receiving training or even taking clients out in the community.
The above are only a few examples of the type of support that the Branch can advise and guide you through. Our advice would be that any issue that you do have, contact the Branch and speak with a Caseworker first.
