Earlier this year, UNISON, GMB and Unite, the three recognised school support staff unions, submitted a complaint to the TUC about the NEU. Our complaint focused on the NEU's continued activities organising school support staff, as well as decisions and speeches at NEU Conference.  We argued that the NEU were in breach of the agreement reached between the NJC unions and the NEU in 2017, the TUC Dispute Committee's Final Award from 2023, and the principles for working together

Unison along with several other health care unions have released a statement - Keeping our communities safe from racism. The statement comes off the back of the recent 'Raise the colours' campaign, largely organised by Andrew Currien. Currien was a former key member of the English Defence League's leadership bodyguard team and also ran a 'security' firm for the far right party British First.
