UNISON Welfare Week
Unison Welfare at Work Week kicks off on Monday 29 September and lasts through to Friday 3 October. The Branch will have all the information that you need to access any of the grants available, or tell you more on what support is available. Please call the Branch or email if you need to know more.
Welfare at Work information
Recognising the financial pressure many members are enduring, Unison Welfare provision and advice is extensive. Unison is the ONLY Trade Union to have its own 'Charity' in There For You, which is only available to Unison members. Many will know about the School Uniform Grant, and will have accessed that annual grant, it is one of the most popular schemes and is always overly subscribed. What many may not know is the other grants and advice that Unison provides.

Seasonal Food Fund : The new Seasonal Food Fund will open at 12 noon on 30 September 2025 and close at 12 noon 1 October. If you’re a UNISON member on a low income, you can apply for a £30 voucher per qualifying person in your household towards the cost of food. We want to make this fund go as far as possible and help as many members as we can. Please only apply if you are in financial difficulty. Find out how to apply and check eligibility HERE:
