School Support Staff across the country will soon be able to contribute their support to the formation of the SSSNB; the School Support Staff Negotiating Board.
UNISON are the main Trade Union and are working with the Government on this exciting new legislation for school support staff in England to create a new negotiating body which will decide pay, terms and conditions for school support staff, as well as taking a new approach to staff training and development.
To influence this work, you will need to be a Unison member, GMB or Unite member, as these 3 Unions are the only ones who will sit and contribute on the board. The NEU does not negotiate School Support Staff pay and conditions, so it is highly likely that the NEU will not a have a seat on this negotiating board.
